Name: Abigail Massey
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Group: Heroes
Homeworld: The Early Renaissance: 1448 CE
Occupation: Unemployed
Face Claim: Elsword - Lu
Appearance: At first glance, Abigail’s eyes seem to be of a very light shade of blue, many describe them to be an arctic blue hue. Her skin and overall physique seem to be well nourished as her body is well proportionate, giving off her hourglass figure with a fair complexion. Her hair is typically seen to be quite symmetrical, flowing just a few inches above her waistline from behind, covering her unusually slightly pointed ears, its color is a very light, yet vibrant shade of white. While she shares no external blemishes upon her face, there lies a faint symbol that rests just upon her forehead, taking the shape of a sparkling blue diamond with its ends bending and pointing in four opposing directions.
Abigail’s usual attire consists of a modernly-fashioned dress, two silver diamond shaped earrings, having aquamarine gemstones embedded within them. Just at the center below her neck rests yet another aquamarine gem, shaped similarly to her forehead symbol, but with a silver outlining. It isn’t unusual to find the woman wearing a soft, dark blue fur boa draping just along her arms, or even around her neck. Along with her light attire, Abigail is shown to wear a pair of laced-up white heels, giving her a slight advantage in height by two complete inches, whilst her actual height is standing at 179 cm (or 5’9”). Overall, her wardrobe consists of lightly colored clothing, often giving off the impression of her preference for a balance of vibrancy and elegance.
Talents:
Athleticism: After having spent nearly four years of continuous training under the tutelage of her uncle, Abigail has learned to be quite agile and is able to perform pretty outstanding feats compared to your typical mundane.
Creativity: Abigail has always been a person who makes the best of her current situation. She will usually try to think of multiple ways to go about something before actually setting her eyes on a specific goal.
Mentoring: During her time back home, Abigail has been quite the counsel when it comes to communicating with the folks of her surrounding kingdom. This has led her to learn to give advice to the best of her abilities, regardless of how experienced she is.
Shortsword Proficiency: After having learned both hand-to-hand combat and how to be agile, Abigail has grown to be quite the reckoned force when it comes to using her own trained weapon. It was due to her uncle’s influence that allowed her to pick up on the fighting style.
Tailoring: A personal hobby Abigail has picked up over the years has led her to enjoy creating her own style of clothing, added with a mix of the modern times has given her just enough time to come up with a completely new brand of personal clothing.
Unarmed Proficiency: The very second thing her uncle had taught her when she had begun training was how to fight an enemy without a weapon. Of course, this meant that she had literally become her own weapon.
Writing: Along with having a creative mind, Abigail enjoys being able to write down her own experiences and even her own stories from time to time.
Personality: Her expression can be explained to be soft and welcoming, as opposed to sharp and determined. Abigail is not your typical prissy princess. Instead of the strait-laced royal heritage she hails from, she uses her own personal judgment to keep an open mind for the new faces she comes across. She is often viewed as more of a motherly-figure, giving advice to the best of her abilities whenever she is able to. It is this trait that Abigail has inhabited during the time after the passing of her father to help her royal family cope with the loss of both an important figure, as well as a beloved father. It is through the harshness of the very nature of life that drives Abigail to maintain a positive outlook on things, often believing she is able to make the best of any situation.
Unfortunately, that isn’t to say she isn’t without her faults. Abigail has gained a bit of blunt temperament after the event of her father’s passing, this has led to her silvery tongue getting the best of herself when presented with a persona of nuisance. Through several other experiences, she has learned from that it is better to hand the cold truth rather than a comforting lie. In addition, her posture and etiquette are typical giveaways of her royal upbringing. Many have viewed this as her being overly prim and proper, but Abigail does enjoy her fair share of fun, even if it is much more mundane and simpler than others.
As for speaking of the past, one must certainly ask the correct questions before anything is actually spilled from Abigail’s mouth as is a topic that will always remain close to her heart as it involves her on a personal level, along with the outcomes that have insisted on staying permanently on her form.
History: During the early years of the renaissance back in England, a pair of ruling nobles had finally come up with the clever thought of having children. While the overall thought had been planned out, both the king and queen of the ruling land had finally chosen to conceive of three children, the first of which had been named ‘Abigail Massey’. It was her responsibility as the heiress of the royal family to rule over the kingdom once the passing of her parents had come to fruition. This had been something that Abigail had never considered, given the fact that her parents were in their prime and seemed to give no hints of expiring any time during her early years.
It was because of her protective parents that Abigail had always felt just a nudge of being isolated from the outside world, yet she would always have the freedom to go as she pleased so long as a trusted individual with approval from her parents had accompanied her during her travels around the kingdom.
As her childhood had begun to pass, Abigail had been taught various mannerisms that would prove to be much more challenging than the proper etiquette routines she had gone through in her years of private schooling. As she aged, she began to understand most of the concepts that were thrown at her, often figuring out a way of bouncing back from them whenever making a mistake. It was through the use of making mistakes that led Abigail to enjoy the fundamentals of learning. She had taken up a few classes of ballad as a leisurely hobby whenever she completed a task for the day after study. Sometime in the future, it turned into a mix of writing, dancing, and even a bit of sewing whenever she found one of her siblings’ fabrics being torn up, usually their blankets due to their roughhousing. Whenever she caught them, she’d always try to figure out a way of scolding them, something she picked up from watching her mother do several times over in order to teach them a lesson to be just as mature as she was.
Having surpassed her studies at private schooling in later years, Abigail was granted a bit more of freedom from her father, who had typically always had a watchful eye on her through the use of a select few individuals. However, due to her maturity and proof of such, Abigail’s father allowed her to choose a profession to occupy her time within the kingdom. In her mind, she believed to have mostly everything she could ever wish for as she was a young woman of many various talents. However, during the conversation with her father, she did take into consideration the benefits of having a bit of a loosened leash from her father’s overall watch. Abigail then finally saw it as an opportunity to finally step out of the castle and learn something that would prove to be quite useful to her when dealing with the outside land. She took time to think upon his offer until he finally brought up the idea of taking self-defense classes with her uncle. The suggestion surprised her, but his argument was just as strong. He wished to have her learn how to protect herself when he could not.
And so, at the age of 15, Abigail took up private training sessions with her uncle who had been a commander of the kingdom’s military unit, someone who was just as serious, but much more open-minded than her own father. It did take a bit of convincing, but her uncle agreed to take her under his wing. Abigail had been excited, yet very nervous to a point were both became a rush of adrenaline as she tied her hair in a bun, performing drills with her new commander for the next few weeks. After a few months of basic hand-to-hand training and parkour, her uncle finally revealed to her a set of weapons from which she was able to choose one as a primary focus for the upcoming years. From war-hammers to metal gauntlets, Abigail chose one of the more practical weapons; the shortsword. Her uncle agreed with her weapon of choice, noting that such a weapon would get her out of a variety of situations that she may stumble upon in the future. It was something she was able to use at a moment’s notice, along with her own fists. It was then that the next four years were some of the most grueling, yet satisfying years of Abigail’s life.
Upon a few months after her nineteenth birthday, Abigail had gone on a leisurely stroll with her siblings, chatting up about the latest happenings around the kingdom. What started off as a simple cough had eventually turned into a fit of frightful hacks, and a bit of dizziness. Unfortunately, it had been the dizziness that eventually led her to realize she had fainted along the way and had been taken care of within her bedroom by her family’s doctor. Upon the doctor’s dismissal, Abigail stumbled to her feet where she fought the urge to lose balance, eventually reaching to her parents’ quarters, only to find them on their own bed. The room had been filled with the servants of the castle, along with her siblings with concerned looks resting upon their faces. Trying to catch up and reach them, she closed her eyes to what felt like a moment, only to find herself lying back in bed, staring up at the ceiling of her bed frame.
It felt as if time stopped for Abigail as she looked around before finally picking up her head, shaking off the fever that had loomed over her like a heavy weight resting on her shoulders. She noticed that she felt much lighter and she could feel sensations surrounding her. At a moment’s notice, the sensation of a breeze blowing through Abigail’s hair finally came to her before she finally rose from her bed, and taking a look at her mirror. Two large blue, luminescent horns glowed and flickered from the sides of her head while her ears became much more pointed at the ends. However, the most notable addition was the mark that had been set upon her forehead; the ‘Diamond Sparkle’ was what she called it. She took a few steps back, only to blink and tried rubbing off the symbol from her forehead. This, however, did not seem to be very effective. She then took some time within her room to herself in order to see if she had been able to stabilize the strange new feats before heading back out into the public. Luckily, she had been able to, but to an extent. Her ears and the symbol seemed to be permanent.
It was a fortunate thing that Abigail had survived such a traumatic event, and the feeling made her feel much more alive, but it wasn’t until she saw her father that the feeling from before had all but vanished from her. It was replaced with a heavy feeling, something that she would only have felt in such a dire situation. Her father had passed and there was nothing she was able to do. While it did take a toll on Abigail for a while, Abigail had known that such a time would come, but not for it to be so soon.
Spending the next few years coping with the loss of her father and learning to have a decent grasp on her new abilities, Abigail was inclined to push forward for a brighter future for herself, her mother and her siblings. And so, it was during her traveling through the castle grounds that she eventually had found a strange portal-like shape appear from nowhere, which had led her curiosity to spark and venture into the portal, only to find a world completely unfamiliar to the young heiress.
She spent a bit of time looking over the Academy before heading into the new, futuristic universe of the current time before being overwhelmed by what it had become. Abigail then spent the next few years of her life dedicating her time to figuring out what she chose to do for her own future. Along with honing her abilities of course!
