The Aztec people werent stupid. Despite the fantastic scene before them, they were not inclined to believe that this creature was their god or some rubbish like that. For one thing, it had no feathers, covered in a coat of Black scales that gleamed beautifully, but made them worry about how they were going to harm this creature. For a second thing, it had emerged from a canal, Quetzalcoatl controlled the winds, not water. Due to this, their nobles and priests had concluded that this was some kind of new beast. Yet this knowledge wasn't doing them any good at the moment.
Currently, the beast had wrapped around their Great Temple, and seemed to be observing their city from on high. Evidently, they couldn't ignore it forever, so they sent a noble to talk to the hopefully intelligent beast. He held his breath as a giant head lowered to look him in the eye, no amount of weaponry they had could kill this creature, so he had to talk this creature away. "Greetings serpent." He began politely, waiting for a reply that didn't come before he continued, "What...what could bring you to our empire?" This time, he jumped as a somewhat female voice came from the beast's maw. "Hello. I just wanted to see my home." Home!? Here wss this beast's home? It continued, "I like it here, the heat, the animals, it's how I remember it but better...nice home ya got here." Hope started to flicker in the noble's eyes, "So your visit is one of peace? You won't harm us?" He bit his tongue against asking when the creature would leave, not wanting it to have a change of heart. "Hmmm. I guess as long as you don't get in the way and do what I'm going to tell you to do." What?

Kaida's claws dug slightly deeper into the Great Temple, and she bared her teeth. "No more of this crap." She spat, "Anywhere else is fine, but if I'm gonna live here I'm not witnessing a fucking sacrifice." It reeked of blood and sweat given years to simply become a part of the stairs and stone. The man who had come to talk to her opened his mouth, and she snapped her jaws, "I'm not asking, I'm telling you!"
She started to unravel from the temple, being agonizingly careful not to step on a building or person, and kept talking, "Keep doing what you guys are doing, but no sacrifices, it's dirty and pointless." She could already hear cries of outrage from the city, and rolled her eyes and snorted, "I'm not doing this for nothing, trust me, with me as your guardian, this city will prosper, you won't die out." The noble, still at the temple, screamed out, "What do you mean!? Any what...who even are you!?" A ghastly black eye rolled downwards, "What's your name, noble man?" He gulped, "Tlilpotonqui, serpent." A reptillian grin crossed her face, "Well, Tlilpotonqui, you don't need to know, because I won't let you die out like you do in my world. I'm just a serpent, looking for my home, and I think I'll set it up here, you can call me Boiúna while I'm like this." A name was a name, but she found that Kaida didn't sound as impressive while she was transformed. Nevermind, it was time to start finding the perfect water source to lurk in.
