Jack emerged from the wall of the medical ward, then immediately collapsed onto the floor. His injuries hadn't gotten any worse while he was in his merged state, but he had needed to go back to his human body several times to get his bearings while navigating to the medical ward, and he had lost some blood each time. By the time he arrived, he was pale and somewhat woozy.
Fortunately, Jack had been in this situation plenty of times before. There wasn't anyone here to treat him at the moment, but that was to be expected. He'd just have to go through his regular routine of patching himself up as best he could and then waiting for one of the medical mages to check in and see him.
In the meantime, Jack tugged down his shredded jumpsuit in order to expose the deep wound the dog had left in his shoulder, wincing as it pulled the cuts open. He wasn't any stranger to pain, either, considering how often he had gotten beat up both before and after coming to the Academy, but there were times he wished that the place had some sort of pain-damping field in order to facilitate all the fighting being done.
Next, he pulled open the medical supply cabinet. One of his arms was unresponsive due to the injury, so he couldn't quite pull the bandages on correctly, but at least it slowed the bleeding down somewhat. With that taken care of, all that remained was to take a couple of pain pills and wait.
Jack laid himself down on one of the medical ward's beds and tried to get comfortable. He saw that he had left a small puddle of blood on the floor when he had emerged from the wall, but by this point he was feeling too exhausted to take care of it. He promised himself that he'd clean it up just as soon as he was treated, then closed his eyes and tried to turn his thoughts to other matters.
