Wally leaned forward, eager to see however the snake decided to react, it didn't initially go for full on attack like he was certain it would do, so that mostly left pain, cursing, the usual. Alas, life wouldn't eved let him see what his magic did to monsters, a shame really, he genuinely would have loved to know. Not only did the building start moving like it was alive, actually, it probably was alive, making him have to rush to the complete middle of the building so he wouldn't get crushed or something, then right into the freaky shadow constructs.
This was not his day wasn't it? Or minute, he'll probably be able to turn it around, but still. And it only got worse when the shadows decided to bring in weapons. Wally had just enough time to tense up and went to leap back. But nothing hit him, and well, he was definitely expecting some slash or another. But while he was on that a tackle knocked him out of the beginning of his jump, sending him flying for a second. Wait, that was it?
"God, do you even know how to fight? That did nothing, the swords were a much better idea!" Wally couldn't help but try to taunt the mage through his constructs, before he ended up having to eat his words when trying to stand up and pick up his fallen glasses. He got to his feet and retrieved his glasses, sure, but not only did a rush of cold sweep through him, and stick, both took way too long, it was like his whole body weighed a hundred pounds more.
And then of course the jerk mage had to cause an explosion and remove all of Wally's hard work getting to his feet as he was forced to duck back down as an arc of stone shot near his direction. He yelled from behind the bench he was now behind. "Watch it! You'r not supposed to kill the people on your side!" Even if he was bringing attention to himself he certainly would have continued, repeating himself obviously, but he had to get his head back at the opponents around him. They were the ones who would be trying to beat him down, not accidentally do so.
