Diana didn't hate the 15th century, but it could be so inconvenient sometimes. She was used to a lot of those inconveniences, but the more time she spent in the world of 2018 the more she wanted some of those conveniences. Ranting to Vieri was only getting her so far because he was still being reasonable and trying to rule rather than just do what he wanted when he wanted, which meant he had to care about structures and opinions and all that boring stuff. His resources were going into civilization as a whole instead of just their projects, which seemed like a waste to her, and made him really slow. It was clear to her that if she wanted progress for the important things in life that she was going to have to do it herself.
Right now her wants were pretty simple. It was dark in her lab because she didn't put any windows in it, and burning candles and oil all the time was annoying and that little battery operated book light she was using wasn't cutting it. Vieri was focused on doing it 'right' and fallowing 21st century building codes, which meant that the wiring was going to have to go into walls and that was going to be annoying because the walls were all already there. Diana didn't care about any of that. She didn't care if it was a massive fire hazard, or if she would accidentally shock herself if she walked in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's not like she didn't accidentally burn herself or shock herself just by being around Vieri constantly. She only had a vague idea of how this stuff worked from her brief physics study, but she figured she could just get something working by trial and error if worst came to worst.
Unfortunately, Vieri caught her digging into some of his stashes and was still mad about that. As much as she didn't care that much, she figured she shouldn't push it too hard. Not when she could easily get what she wanted herself. Silicon Valley. She heard about it and how it was like the center of tech in that universe. She was under the impression that it was more about computers, but she was pretty sure that computers still ran on the same kind of stuff she needed. If it was different, she was pretty sure she could still repurpose it to do what she wanted. It was close enough really and equally as sparky.
Thus, she picked the first manufacturing plant she came across. It made phones and seemed to have all kinds of wires and lights in it. They weren't the big florescent lights she wanted, but there were some of those hanging from the ceiling of the plant. She could just grab those. As always, she busted down the door without a care in the world. Even this century's security meant nothing to her, so she saw no reason to be reasonable or to hide. Instead, she waltzed in there like she owned the place, tapping her spear on her shoulder.
"Okay so!" she used her power on her voice to make it extra loud in this echoy factory. "I need all the lights, wires, and computers you got here. Bring them to me in boxes I can carry off on my own. NOW!"
The people just stared at her blankly, a few of them laughing. It always happened, but she liked giving the boring mundane people a chance to make their, and her, lives easier. But if they wanted to fight her she was perfectly okay with this. Some alarms went off, security started swarming, and Diana got ready. The guards shot, one hit her in the side, but it didn't even slow down her charge at them. All that was left was for her to systematically dismantle their security with their spear. That normally made her point.
