Jennifer hadn't been in the academy that long, at least according to her calendar, but it kind of felt like it'd been forever. Coming here felt normal, to the point that it was something she didn't even have to think about that hard anymore. Despite that, she was disappointed by the number of people she knew, or at least the number of people she had in her little list in her phone. If she wasn't getting pictures of people, or trying to describe them in her surrogate brain then it seemed like she wasn't meeting new people at all. The academy wasn't super crowded or anything, but there were still tons of people to meet and she was really excited about it. Her phone list being this empty meant she wasn't making friends at all. Even if she might have a bit of trouble remembering all of them, this was really depressing to her and something she needed to correct immediately, so she came up with a plan.
What did everyone like? Like literally everyone? A few things came to mind, but the one that would be easiest to act on was ice cream. Anyone that didn't like ice cream must have been some mutant alien thing and not an actual person, so it wasn't worth considering. So, Jennifer went out and got a tub of that bright and colorful kind of ice cream that tasted kind of fruity. She couldn't remember the name, but that was fine, she couldn't remember lots of things. What mattered wasn't the name anyway, it was how it tasted! She scooped out enough for two medium sized bowls and then went to the academy, making sure to move fast enough that the ice cream wouldn't melt by the time she got there.
At first, she wasn't quite sure where to go. She couldn't remember the layout of the academy or what was there, and no one was immediately around one of the portals, so she had to dig into her phone a bit. There was a rec room! People would already be going there to have fun and ice cream would only make that even better right? Jennifer wasted no time in getting there because she really couldn't let this ice cream melt.
It happened every time she went into the room, but she was always amazed by how big and well-stocked this place was. It really was the perfect place to do something fun with new friends. Thus, Jennifer simply walked up to the first person she saw that wasn't already with someone and presented them with the soft, slightly melted bowl of colorful ice cream.
"Hi, I'm Jennifer! Do you want some?"
