Maia had an opportunity to glance at the enemy before leaping through the portal, but that didn’t adequately represent the gigantic size of this monster. First impression made her want to turn around and stay in the Academy. She could always help stave off the heat death of the universe from the safety of her office. Treat some of these burns, patch up the more experienced combatants so they can continue fighting, not die—all good options.
The likelihood of another threat like this showing up spurred Maia forwards, headed to the nearest building. She climbed onto the roof and began to strategize. There’s a non-zero chance that she’d have to punch one of these colossal titans in the future. Better to get some practice in now.
But how could she even reach that thing? One of the other mages knew how to fly, but Maia couldn’t just copy—actually, that sounded perfect. Before doing anything else, though, she needed armor.
With a snap of her fingers, Maia started to contact the guardian spirit residing inside her, explaining the blossoming idea of an attack without revealing anything to the enemy. (Just because she never saw ears on that thing did not mean it didn’t have any.) A bright glow surrounded the girl's ordinary clothing as each piece swapped out to leave room for a set of all-black armor. Maia performed a few quick stretches, feeling the lightweight material loosen up a bit, before taking a deep breath.
“Heaven help us.”
She took off running. She ran until reaching the edge of the roof and leapt off. Her guardian appeared below her and served as a spring board, launching Maia higher into the air. The first attempt didn’t bring her close enough to reach anything, so they tried again. And again. With the last jump, she swung her right leg around to perform a drop kick to one of those giant stupid wings.
Action: Aggression [Force] against Wings
