Name: Maran Grey, Mary, Mare, Mary May (she really hates that one), Missy (for some reason there are people who think that's her name)
Age: 17, 07/07/2001
Gender: Female
Group: Tyrant
Homeworld: Information Age 2018 CE
Occupation: none
Face Claim: Phantom of the Kill-Laevateinn
Talents: Cooking, she's always loved to cook since it was one of those things that the whole family worked together on and she is particularly good with pastries.
Dancing, Everyone in her family was expected to take up one athletic class as children. She chose dance lessons and has won a couple awards for competitions.
Personality: Maran can be very emotional, often letting her feelings get the better of her. Headstrong and determined to the point where she has been know to (quite literally on occasion) smash her head into a wall repeatedly fully expecting it to fall out of her way. That doesn't mean she isn't kind or caring, she just has a very...mama bird way of showing it, at one point throwing someone out a window to help them learn their flying magic.
She believes that true power can only be achieved through danger and adversity. She strongly dislikes modern society's obsession with comfort and ease.
As a general rule, she doesn't like people and finds them boring, stupid, incapable of surpassing their limits. The few people she does make friends with though have found her to be exceedingly loyal and protective to the point where those who would try to hurt them have a rather scary habit of disappearing.
Maran is full of passion and swings between emotions and spectrums like a squirrel on a mix of crack, meth, and coffee. Violently passionate to her friends, terrifying to her enemies, and an overgrown innocent child at heart (her words).
History: Maran had a relatively mundane childhood. Loving middle class family, only child, a few friends. Growing up, Maran noticed one thing that always bothered her. People seemed to always complain about how nothing was ever easy. She hadn't realized how much this attitude pissed her off until one of her friends complained about how she had to wake up early to find a specific outfit for the day. Maran promptly broke her friendship with the shallow people she had once called friends.
Then, six years ago, she became deathly ill. Her hair turned white and her eyes turned red. The doctors didn't expect her to live, or if she did survive, she would be crippled for the rest of her life. Despite all odds, Maran not only survived, but came out much stronger than before. It didn't take long to figure out that she was special, and not in a "daddy's little girl" way. She started acting out, often doing pranks or behaving in an unbecoming manner and causing problems. Every time she got caught, Maran would defend her actions by claiming to be exploring them and that the only way to grow would be to use them.
Things finally came to a head when some of her so-called friends that she left decided that enough was enough and tried to put her in her place. The resulting beat down caused Maran to get arrested.
When her family found out about the academy for mages, they immediately decided to send her there so she could learn how to use her new power responsibly. Her time there has been one where she doesn't particularly stand out in anything anymore, but she likes it that way.
Magic Overview: She has been seen walking on walls and ceilings. Sometimes flying even. It appears she can give these traits to anything she touches. Her hair seems to float a little.
Tools: Maran carries a brace of kunai and a pair of johyo and a massive sword (see picture)
