In the year 2012, a mysterious illness began to sweep the globe. In its wake, those who survived it were left with immensely powerful supernatural abilities.
As the number of people capable of wielding magic powers increased, they began to organize and seize control of the course of history. Using their powers to travel between parallel universes, these mages forge empires of a scale never before seen. And at the center of it all is the Academy, a neutral institution founded for mages to share their knowledge with each other.
Mages struggle against each other to impose their will upon the multiverse, but there is one threat that unites them all together. In recent months, mysterious entities have appeared. These entities wield power far greater than any one mage, and they seem determined to annihilate all of humanity. The mages will have to set aside their differences in order to beat them. The fate of the multiverse depends on it.

A wide grin spread over her face as Rook leaned over and gave Tristan a large hug, something she immediately didn’t regret but realized was a bad idea and released. She shook the cold from her arms. “‘Cause I like him, like I’m growing to like you.” She said, with the certainty that it really was just as simple as that. How many blankets would it take to hug Tristan? That was the question.
“So you in for the robbery?” She asked mostly to Karma, although at the last word she turned to look at Sparkles. The young and innocent mages still thinking it wouldn’t just be quicker to take what they wanted were always a treat. “Not robbery, but extended borrowing. Don’t worry, I’ve worked it out with these guys before.” She said earnestly, flexing her arm for extra sincerity.
They’d probably call the police the moment they saw her face, but just like the last two times the effort would be for moot. She wondered what sized trucks they were going to have laying around this time… which raised the query, “Question, can either of you two drive?”
"Robbery?" Karma had heard that term before. Something correlated to thievery.
Karma's lips parted for a second as he felt the need to explain to Ponytail that he was of no low level to do such a thing. He was about to tell her that; a prince like him? Steal? No way. And then he stopped himself, her earlier statement giving him a moment to reconsider. He liked having people like him. It was a part of his royal nature. Yet, she had mentioned earlier something about re-constructing and rebuilding, supposedly due to the mess that entity had left. So, in a way or another, this was for a good cause, and Karma considered himself pretty good.
"I don't steal, woman. But I wouldn't mind joining in." He crossed his arms with a shrug, his head tilting to look away. The fire had ceased thanks to Shadow, but the place still looked a mess. He wasn't picky when it came to these environments but the destruction they had caused screamed attention. The place looked clearly like a mage fight had taken place—and quite frankly, Karma wasn't displeased about it. He just didn't feel any need to linger anymore.
"Well, call me when you wanna go at it. I've probably mastered the arts of driving til then." He nodded a short smirk towards Ponytails before his legs started moving in the other direction, towards the exit.

Jennifer just looked more confused and maybe even a little exasperated. She tilted her head like that might somehow tilt the world back into frame and make everything else make sense.
"That still sounds like stealing," she scratched the side of her cheek while she thought for a moment. "Can't Jack make a whole bunch of materials? He was making all of this stuff come out of the ground and everything!"
Everything seemed to be calming down, but she was still a little afraid to come out of her corner. There were still scary people around and this corner was safe. She could still talk here, so it was fine right?
"Um...no I haven't gotten my permit yet. Driving sounds really scary."

Looking at the way that half the cafeteria was being engulfed by a tornado of flame, Jack was feeling pretty good about his decision to get some distance. He was about ready to merge back into the wall and disappear for long enough for things to cool down around here, but he stopped short when he heard his name.
"Huh?"
It took him a moment to understand what Jennifer was getting at. He hadn't really been thinking in constructive terms, but the brief fight had done a good job of getting the anger out of his system. Now he just felt a bit dismayed as he surveyed the carnage.
"Y-Yeah, I can help by making raw materials or really simple items... But I guess if we're done wrecking stuff here, I should probably put it all back together first."
