Jennifer was looking around the old timey world, trying to remember what even happened there, because it bothered her that she really couldn't. She knew something attacked, but she couldn't remember what it looked like or what it did. She knew it was bad, but that was mostly because the world looked really bad and everyone else kept saying it was really bad rather than her actually remembering anything. It bothered her, and she didn't know what to do about it. She was there right? People said she was there, so she should remember something like this.
Once she got to Kyoto, she could only stare dumbfounded. Her geography wasn't the best, but she was pretty sure there wasn't supposed to be a huge volcano in this part of Japan. Japan did have some volcanoes, she learned that before weird stuff happened to her memory, she just thought they were somewhere else. Maybe she was misremembring? Jennifer stared at the mountain, blinking and fidgeting with her fingers, before she resolved herself to go look at it. If it was related to the weird thing that attacked then she should know about it. If it was because of weird magic stuff, then maybe she'd be able to learn something about magic. Had anyone else investigated it even? She hadn't heard about it, or at least didn't remember hearing about it recently. She couldn't afford to just stand around while being too afraid to do anything useful.
Thus, Jennifer started jogging towards the volcano, her eyes firmly planted on it. As scary as it was to go alone, she didn't want to wait. It was weird and she wanted to know what was up with it right now!
