"Alright, listen," he said for what felt like the twelfth time, calmly waiting for security to come attempt to escort him from the room. "I can honestly do this entire thing on my own. You'll see what I mean soon enough, but that's not what I'm here to discuss. While I can, with or without your permission, that won't be the same. I need some degree of cooperation, someone to actually produce this; someone to make it good. I'll get someone to do it eventually; honestly, you should feel honored that I went to you first."
Tristan sighed as the man continued trying to interrupt him with shouting. How the man didn't realize his rant was falling on deaf ears was beyond the mage, but he supposed he could understand the "why" of it. Some weird upstart just showed up out of the blue, pitches some crazy movie about how magic is real and how he wants to star in it, and then starts stating things that could easily be taken as threats. Still didn't mean he appreciated being told he was "no different from every other psychopath who wants to make it big". Hollywood was a big place, to be sure, but Tristan was willing to bet he was a one of kind psychopath, even there.
Luckily, his demonstration partners finally arrived. He heard the door open, the producer started calming down slightly as he yelled that they needed to give this dumbass kid the boot, and then Tristan showcased the special effects he'd be bringing to his movies. The men's shadows reached up from the ground and enveloped their lower bodies, preventing them from moving forward. The chill in the air was immediately noticable in the small office, and the producer finally shut up.
"See why I wanted to make a movie about magic now?" Tristan asked with a sigh, releasing the men before their legs went completely numb. "You fellas go ahead and run, I won't stop you. My business is with the head honcho, here." He offered an extra chilling smile as the guards considered the offer and promptly ran, and then he turned his attention back to the producer.
"So, Jimmy, old sport. Let's talk about me getting on the silver screen, yes?"
