He thought she was talking to the dog? Whatever helped his self-esteem she supposed. It got a raised eyebrow out of her, but she wasn't feeling inclined to correct him. Especially not when he was so eager to get to the fighting already. All she did was stretch, take out her spear, and got ready. She knew the odds of her actually using it were pretty small, but it was the thought that counted.
Vieri's retort about the dog versus pigeon situation got another raised brow from her. The sad part was she could absolutely believe that he was stupid enough to let a dog maul him. Plus, he seemed to be forgetting one important detail about her. There really wasn't much difference between a pigeon pecking at her and a dog tearing her legs off, they both amounted to the same thing: a mild distraction that would reduce her combat effectiveness during the fight, that she could heal through with little to no effort. But she was glad to see he wasn't going to let the dog turn him into a chew toy just because it was all barky and had a waggy tail. It meant she could enjoy the show that much more.
Diana watched with anticipation as Vieri ran through the streets, only to be met with crippling disappointment at how bad he was at this. Was he even trying? She folded her arms and tapped her spear against the ground.
"What the hell was that?" she shouted. "You know, I don't think one fight goes by where I don't wonder why I'm fighting with you. You're so bad at this! You can't even take down a scrawny kid?"
That was when she suddenly saw the guy in the wall run past her. Well, that certainly explained the buildings getting all weird. She thought about poking at him again, but he already looked distressed and that was sufficiently amusing for her. Instead, she just waved and got back to shaking her head at Vieri in disappointment.
