Diana had a few reasons for heading to the beach today, besides it just being there of course. The first was that it seemed like Vieri had forgotten how to have fun with all this ruling the world stuff going on. He wasn't even doing proper science, just talking to random old people and sometimes putting together the occasional building. He didn't even seem to enjoy punching people anymore and that was just depressing. He needed to get out of these dark business meetings and get back into the sun.
But the main reason was that she was really bored. Vieri was always busy and was starting to act all tired and exasperated when she trolled him instead of giving reasonable actions with a lot of energy. Mage fights were always a blast, but they were also always really short. If she was lucky, she was fighting mundanes but that had long ceased being interesting. If she was unlucky, she was standing around looking scary while he talked to all the old people because he was really bad at negotiating and tended to need extra stabby backup. Even if she didn't go, he was going to go anyway and that basically meant she'd be on her own. Diana didn't really like being alone. There were times when it was appropriate, like during some of her more involved research that made most people squeamish, and other times where she could tolerate it, like when she was trying to read, but otherwise being alone wasn't her first choice. It made it all the more important to make Vieri remember how to have fun again because she didn't really know how to talk to anyone else.
She figured she could guilt him into coming along with her, what with him being a total sap and all. She had a feeling that all this boring stuff couldn't be anymore fun for him and so maybe he'd want a break anyway. If not, then hopefully a bit of complaining and saying how great it'd be to go to the beach again and bully all the mundanes into getting them cold drinks and ice cream on command would be enough. On the off chance even that wasn't enough, well she had more than enough knock out drugs in her lab to help subdue her test subjects that she was pretty sure she could hit him in his sleep and he wouldn't be able to do much about it. Fortunately, she didn't have to go that far.
This was the first time she'd worn something this revealing since using her power to help beef up her body. Normally she ran around in loose shirts and jackets, but that was hardly appropriate for swimming. Today, she was in a swimsuit, though it looked more like a waterproof tank top and shorts than what most people wore. It was almost strange to see her as she was now. Tanned from all the time she spent in the sun instead of looking like she hadn't been outside in a decade. Strong enough that it was her muscles defining the shape of her body instead of her bones. Not that she thought about it too hard because that was forever ago and there were way more interesting things to focus on now. Wasting no time, she charged a particularly crowded beach not too far from a hotel. It was covered in tourists, but more importantly, it had a food stand and that was more important than an empty beach. There were ways to make an empty beach.
"Okay, everyone OUT!" she shouted, amplifying her voice so that every mundane in the area would be able to hear her. "You all got five seconds to start clearing out before I make you leave! Except you guys!" she pointed at the people manning the food stall. "All of you stay."
For emphasis, she stabbed the nearest person to look at her funny through the stomach. It wasn't the kind of wound that would kill instantly, but almost certainly would if he didn't get to a hospital quickly. Hopefully that'd be all the encouragement they needed.
INCURSION: Kicking all the mundanes off the beach for some fun in the sun with her little brother. Except for the ones that'll be getting them drinks and ice cream, they can stay.
